today, i went for a Philippines' movie preview at MBO, Galaxy Ampang! well, i went to represent my company, NSR, since we gonna be the distributor for the VCD/DVD.

the movie starring Philippines' heart throb, Jericho Rosales (Echo) & Anne Curtis... and my comment: SUCH A GOOD MOVIE! the movie based on a true story during 1898 wartime in Philippines... Echo and Anne really played their character well and i almost shed a tears during the ending!!! and Anne really deserve the Best Actress that she won it during 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival. highly recommended by me :)

BALER is a tale of an overwhelming love between a young Filipina named Feliza Reyes (Anne Curtis) and Celso Resurrection (Jericho Rosales), a Spanish-Filipino soldier. It is set in the backdrop of 1898 wartime action between a 57-man Rifle Batallion of the Spanish military and the Filipino forces, more popularly known as the Siege of Baler.

Feliza is the beautiful daughter of Daniel, who is a member of the rebel movement. Daniel, whose promary goal is to completely wipe out the Spanish soldiers stationed in the town of Baler, can never accept Celso, a half-indio, half-Spanish soldier who chooses to serve the enemies more than the Filipino insurgents who are struggling and fighting for their independence. While Baler is a story of conflict, betrayal, and self-preservation, it is also a story of courage, patriotism, humanity and love.

Baler is an official entry to the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival. It garnered major awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Actress.

THE MOVIE WILL BE IN MALAYSIA CINEMA ON THE 16th APRIL 2009!!!
